42 artisans are signed up to show this coming weekend at our local outdoor market. You will find all kinds of woodwork, pottery, jewelry, up-cycled clothing, fine art, photography, leather-work, body care products, and so much more. Everything sold at the market is made by the people selling the art. All of these folks are local. Someone plying their wares along Calle Guanajuato could literally be your neighbor. When you support your local artisans, musicians, farmers, neighbors and friends, then you are supporting your community. The energy goes around in a circle. Everybody wins in that scenario. We thank you for your patronage of the local scene.
Yesterday the Lithia Artisans Market grew as we added three new members to our ranks. Maruka Sada, Annette Trujillo, and Serene Dussell all showed their handcrafted items to the jury committee and were accepted with their art-forms. Maruka makes super cute dresses for toddlers. Annette is passionate about macro-photography and miniature pottery, she also works in glass. Serene has her own unique line of hemp clothing. Amy Godard-Navickas (featured in the photo above), already a veteran member of the market, submitted another new item into her already diverse booth. She is creating wreaths from died flowers grown on her property on the Upper-Rogue River where she and her husband Eric run there own successful farm. Everyone who presented at the jury committee meeting was gifted with creative talents. The meeting was fun and super informative. Welcome all of you into the Lithia Artisans Market guild of artists.
It is going to be a beautiful weekend. Hope to see you all down by the creek along Calle Guanajuato. Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-5.
