Our Christmas Fair is returning to Ashland this weekend! You will find many of your favorite artists as well as new faces bringing you the best-handcrafted works in Southern Oregon. Join us as we celebrate our 20th season at the Historic Ashland Armory. A time-honored tradition, this holiday market event is a favorite of locals and those visiting during the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The lighting ceremony for the Festival of Lights takes place on Friday evening at 5 pm in downtown Ashland. It makes for a wonderful evening to visit downtown, take in the lights, and swing by our show for some Christmas cheer.

This is our largest showing of local handcrafted wares since 2019. 45 artisans are participating in the Christmas Faire. You will discover all kinds of artisan creations including pottery, clothing, jewelry, woodwork, leather belts, paintings, gift cards, photography, candles, body care products, and much more.

A few of the artisans, you’ll meet at the Christmas Faire…

Hat People

Talent, Oregon is the home of the Hat Ranch where Jim and Carol Young sew wool and cotton hats. The Hat People have been making and selling hats in Oregon for over four decades. Veterans of the Oregon Country Fair and the Eugene, Portland, and Ashland Saturday markets, their hats are known far and wide. They will be joining us this year in Ashland at the Christmas Faire.

Mad Ceramics

Madalynn Massey is the one-woman show behind Mad Ceramics. She is a new member of the Lithia Artisans Market. A native of Utah and raised by artists, it was her lifelong dream to pursue a career as an artist. When she discovered the pottery wheel she was hooked. A long journey through California and Washington finally landed her in Southern Oregon. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, she channels that artistic magic through her pottery.

Orphan Girl Fine Art

Erin Linton of Orphan Girl Fine Art grew up in the Siskiyou-Cascade mountains of Ashland, Oregon (see image above). She provides shelter for ailing wild creatures until they can be formally rescued or returned to the wild. When you see her art, you’ll know her heart lies with wild creatures.

Erin makes a variety of works including, watercolor originals, wall art, prints, cards, ornaments, and a wonderful selection of cards and ornaments themed for the holiday.

Find her at both of our winter holiday events this season.

Other Details to Consider

This is our first indoor event since the pandemic. Let’s be kind to each other. Everyone has their own way of navigating these interesting times. We encourage masks in these indoor community events but do not mandate their use. Be mindful and considerate of one another. Use common sense and stay home if sick.

The local community has been so good to each other during the past couple of years. On behalf of all of us at the Lithia Artisans Market, I want to thank the greater community for all of your support. We wouldn’t still be here without you.

Check out our Events page to learn more about this event or our December Holiday Market in Medford. Stay tuned, more to come.
