Weekends along Ashland Creek the artisans, artists, musicians and community gather for the Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland. Tucked along the winding alley way known as Calle Guanajuato is an open air market place that features an array of handcrafted pottery, jewelry, woodwork, fine art, photography, clothing, leather work, and so much more. This weekend market is the place where art, craft, music, and creek side dining come together in the hub of downtown Ashland, Oregon. This time honored marketplace has a tradition of authentic craft made by the people of the region. Creativity thrives in southern Oregon.
This weekend, March 28th and 29th, the artisans market hosts 25 local craftspeople with their latest creations. We opened last week for the first weekend of the new season. Saturday was great! And Sunday…. well, it rained. I am looking out at dark clouds this afternoon, but the forecast shows a nice weekend ahead. Spring in Lithia Park, what a great way to spend a day.
Live Music is a daily event at the Lithia Artisans Market. This weekend we feature Jacqui and Danny playing their original, hand crafted tunes. These two blend harmonies and mystically rich lyrics into songs that have us longing for simpler times when children gleefully skipped down cobbled streets. Their tunes seem timeless. Jacqui and Danny make up roughly half of the local band well known as Patchy Sanders. Come see them play, you will love them.
