Spring has sprung in southern Oregon. Weeds are taking over, soil is rich with water and nutrients. It is that time of year again when we welcome the Ashland Independent Film Festival as it takes to the screens across the city with wonderful independent documentaries, stories, cinema at its rawest, its truest form. Lithia Artisans are an independent tribe as well. All walks of life are represented, and all manner of art and craft can be found along Ashland Creek. Open every weekend from now until the end of October, Saturdays 10-6 and Sundays 11-5. In between the films you are out seeing this weekend, take a stroll through Calle Guanajuato (the alley-way behind the plaza) and see what the artisans have in store for this weekend.
You’ll see a lot of familiar faces at the Lithia Artisans Market. Many of our veteran artisans are out in force this weekend as 31 are signed up to participate throughout the two day event. Jewelry of all kinds, functional pottery, designer clothing, fine art, wildlife images, leather work, stone carving, woodwork, up-cycled journals, and so much more. We are truly blessed with abundance here in our community of art, music, film, theater, organic farms, and natural beauty. Aah….. it’s spring time in our corner of the big blue world.

Hollis Peach is the new name for the local duo of Jacqui and Danny. Formally half of the band Patchy Sanders. They now perform as a duo and we love them. Saturday, April 9 from 11:30-2:30 at the Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland, Oregon.
