35 artisans are plying their wares along Calle Guanajuato this upcoming weekend. The forecast temperatures have come down quite a bit since last weekend. Thank you all for coming out and making the heatwave of 2016 into a success. We are excited that fall is just around the corner. It is a perfect weekend to come out and visit your favorite local street artist. Wander through the quaint alley way behind the downtown Plaza, along Ashland Creek, and discover local art.
This weekend you will find hand wrought silver and copper jewelry, sun-dresses, fine art, woodwork, photography, felted scarves, herbal body care products, hand spun wool, puppets, pottery, leather belts by Gene Nawrocki, copper bowls by Steve McLaren, and so much more.

The photo above features our good friend Marcella Rose. Marcella has been a member of the market for nearly 20 years. She and her mom, Susan Wells, share a booth at the market most weekends. It has been my pleasure to watch Marcella grow into the artist she is today. Each piece in her booth is a fashion statement and a one of a kind piece of art. Arguably the most colorful booth in the market; although, next to Alissa Clark Clayworks, that might be a toss-up.
Alissa is back to the market this weekend. It is always nice to have Alissa with us. We don’t see as much of her since she moved out to Florence, Oregon, on the Pacific coastline. There she started her own gallery with her husband Nate. Catch her and her colorful mugs, vases, and assorted clay art objects while she is here in town visiting.
This is gonna be a fun weekend!
