The morning air is crisp and the leaves on the trees in Lithia Park are changing colors. Fall is upon us and it feels like a relief. It is a great time to visit the market. The Lithia Artisans Market is loaded with creators selling unique items along Calle Guanajuato. 40 artisans are showing this upcoming weekend. The market is open Saturday from 10 to 6, and Sunday from 11 to 5. The weather forecast is perfect this weekend with highs in the low 80’s. Strolling along the alley behind the plaza in downtown Ashland you will find handcrafted jewelry, clothing, woodwork, hats, body care products, fine art, photography, and so much more. Our region is an incubator for creativity, and those who create beauty with their hands sell their wares at the market.
Featured in the photo above is Kira Belan. Kira has been a member of the market for the last two seasons. She makes wonderful massage creams and body care products. I can attest that these products work well and smell great. She is super gifted and creative. Last Christmas season she started making dolls. Her dolls are made in the Waldorf style and the little people really love them. She pours her heart into everything she makes.
Only 6 weekends left in the outdoor market season. Weather permitting the market will run until the last weekend in October. Now is the perfect the time to come and wander through the market, and it is never too early to start thinking about gifts for the holidays.
