As we head into fall the artisans market is strong with 43 vendors signed up to participate this upcoming weekend. The weather looks beautiful for Saturday. Sunday is still a question mark. The leaves on the trees are turning their colors, the cool air is clean and refreshing. It is a wonderful time of the year to visit the artisans market down by the creek.

The image above features the artist Mabrie Ormes and her wonderful floral paintings. Her images are rich with color and texture. Mabrie is an artist whose subject matter and technique are always changing. One season, in a subdued manner, she focuses on female writers as her inspiration, another season her muse is bathers in natural poses; this year she was inspired by flowers and their bold beauty. Her pieces are wonderful in a home. Her painting of sunflowers was the front cover art of our souvenir booklet this year. Love her work!
