A beautiful blue moon to finish off the last days of July. The Lithia Artisans Market is up and rolling through the heatwave that has taken over most of the nation. It is always a few degrees cooler down by the creek. 36 artists will be participating throughout the weekend market. Locally crafted pottery, jewelry, woodwork, leather goods, carved stones, forged metal, upcycled clothing, soaps and body care of all kinds are available down along Ashland Creek on Calle Guanajuato.
This week the word that comes through loud and clear is gratitude. As I peer into our community I get a glimpse at the compassion and love that is at the heart of the greater Ashland population. We are gifted to live in a place so full of aspiring creative people. Creativity and authenticity is what drives our commitment to being something better. Creating the world in which we wish to thrive. We evolve to be in harmony with nature, with our families, with our fellow artists, musicians, and the folks who live right next door. I am grateful to live in such a community of life affirming creators. Throughout the best and the worst of times… we create. It is what we do.
