Happy Earthday Weekend! We are gifted again with good weather and the busiest market of the 2017 season. 37 artists and crafty folk are signed up to participate this upcoming weekend at the market.

I believe I can speak on behalf of the Lithia Artisans Guild when I say that we are all strong advocates for better stewardship of our Mother Earth. We all breath the same air, drink the same water, and live as neighbors in the greater southern Oregon region. As artists we strive to create sustainable models of entrepreneurship that makes a minimal impact on the environment. Consciousness of the environment is key to small business management. We are honored to be part of celebrating Earthday 2017.

When you visit the market this weekend you will encounter 37 artisans who make the items they sell in their home art studios, or at collective artisan studios like the Briscoe ArtWing and Ashland Art Center. Many of our artists sustainably collect their raw materials in nature, while others up-cycle old products to create new art-forms. Our artists do not place profits ahead of environmental safety and health. We live in our workshops and do our best to be healthy and earth conscious.

This weekend you will discover fine art, photography, jewelry, hand-sculpted stones from local sources, recycled records albums, leather belts, bags, and shoes, hemp clothing, sundresses, woodwork featuring local woods, organic body care products, folk art, prints, assorted clothing and accessories and much, much more. The market is full to near capacity so it is a great time to join us on Calle Guanajuato. Here comes the sun.
