Today feels tropical. Moisture abounds and we are grateful. The weather forecast is uncertain for the upcoming weekend. With that said, 32 hearty souls have signed up to participate this upcoming Easter weekend at the Lithia Artisans Market. We are ever hopeful that the sun wins out over rain.

We recognize this holy time and rejoice in the beautiful story of renewal which comes upon us every year around this time. Happy Easter everybody!

Big shout out to the hardcore crew of artisans who came out last Sunday. I think there were 9 of us out there when it started to dump rain for a solid two hours. That was a bummer. We are trying to avoid that fate this weekend. If the weather looks real wet the market will close. We typically announce those closures though the standard social media channels.

We are happy to welcome back to the market Marcella Ruikis, a long time member of the artisans market. I’m pretty sure Marcella has been with us for well over 15 years. She hand dyes and paints silk scarves. Her pieces are vibrant wearable art that brighten any ensemble. She is a solid member of our artisan community, a big part of the family.

Daniel Sperry, solo cellist, is a regular at the Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland, Oregon.
