Happy Fall Equinox! This is the markets biggest weekend of the 2017 season. 47 artisans will be showing their handcrafted wares along Ashland Creek, on Calle Guanajuato this upcoming weekend. The weather is looking clean, cool, and very fall like.  Join us!

SAT 10-6 ~ SUN 11-5

We are all feeling so grateful for the clean air. Huge thanks to the firefighters still out battling the blazes, your work is invaluable to us. Much gratitude for the rain, the humidity, the cooler temperatures. The colors are changing in Lithia Park, the days are becoming shorter. It is a wonderful time to come by your local artisans market and take a stroll along the creek.

Featured in the photo above is Leah Fairbanks, a world renowned lampwork glass artist, who happens to live right here in Ashland, Oregon. She calls her business Gardens of Glass, and one visit to her booth and you will know why. She, her husband Derek, and their daughter Tara set up her art booth every weekend at the market. Her work has been featured at Bead and Button, and she was honored with the Excellence in Bead Artistry Award for her intricate work in the realm of glass bead adornment. She teaches lampwork glass techniques all over the world, but sells primarily at Ashland’s own outdoor artisan market. Leah tells me she is really excited this year about her relatively new line of colorful glass seashells. They are so realistic it is easy to think a hermit crab might feel right at home. We are honored to have her in our guild of artisans.
