The weather is cooperating and the Lithia Artisans Market is in full swing. 51 artists and creative souls are plying their wares this upcoming weekend, June 1st and 2nd. This is the biggest showing of the season! There will be no empty space on Calle Guanajuato. Every nook and cranny filled with inspiring, handcrafted items. It is the perfect time to take a stroll through the artisans market along the creek.
OPEN SATURDAYS 10-6 AND SUNDAYS 11-5
The market is growing. This weekend we welcome three new fine artists: Lori Agnew, Bathsheba Duronvil, and Aaron Taylor. Felting artist Eliiza Hamilton, tie-die artisan Britta Vance, and glass artist Katie Harris are also brand new members of our guild. The youthful vibrancy of the market is palpable. We welcome you all!
Returning to the market for the first time in awhile is potter Alissa Clark. Alissa runs her own clay studio in Florence, Oregon. She is a veteran of the northwest art and craft scene and a participating member of our artisans market for well over a decade. Her pieces are uniquely her own — playful, colorful, functional art. It is a joy to drink coffee from one of her mugs. An artist through and through, Alissa has fun with her medium and it shows in her display.
Be sure to swing by and say hello to Ali and the other fifty artists who are showing this weekend. You will discover all kinds of handcrafted wares along Calle Guanajuato. Fine art, jewelry, leather work, woodwork, clothing, sculpture, body care, pottery, and much more will be on display. Join us on the alleyway running along Ashland Creek, behind the plaza buildings in downtown Ashland, Oregon.
