45 artisans will be showing their creations at the market this upcoming weekend. Hardly a space will be left empty along Calle Guanajuato. We are pleased to welcome brand new vendors to the market… Carrie Redfern makes candles and body care products, Claire Chiaravalle makes crocheted teddy bears and other cuddly animals, and Tim Hallam is a landscape photographer with some really dramatic images of places you know well. We are loaded with talent this weekend. Hats, clothing, jewelry of all kinds, fine art, up-cycled wallets and clothing, hammered metal, woodwork, leather, photography, body care products, folk art, drums, and much more will be on display throughout the two day event.
The weather forecast is perfect. Sun peeking out during an overcast day. This past weeks rain has been a blessing. The air is clean, the garden is happy, late spring has been wonderfully wet. This weekend is a great time to be out supporting your local artisans, farmers, musicians, and joining in the beauty of the season.
Folks have recently asked me about the MidSummer’s Dream Art and Music Festival we used to have every year at this time. I tell them honestly that the best the festival had to offer is with us every weekend on Calle Guanajuato, along Ashland Creek at the Lithia Artisans Market. We are small but we are mighty. As your manager and advocate I am honored to represent you all. One of the mantras of the MidSummers Dream Festival was, “celebrating the artist in all of us.” We continue to do that every weekend at the market where the sense of community thrives and handcrafted beauty abounds.
