Fine Artist Katrina Meister has rejoined the Lithia Artisans Market this season. So happy to have you back in our midst.
Sometimes the old is the new. It’s like that as an artist. We bring forth the forgotten icons, images of the past are as relevant as images of the future. In between we sit making our art forms. One of our newest members is actually a member from the not so distant past. She is an artist named Katrina Meister, a true local — born and raised in Ashland, Oregon. A heavy out of town show schedule kept her and her husband Michael on the road for a few years. Besides that, they were busy raising two youngsters. This year they decided to stay more local, reduce the show load, and rejoin our local family of artists along Ashland Creek. We are so happy they have come back. Just like seeing a long lost friend, time stands still, years melt away, it seems like only yesterday. Katrina is an outstanding new/old artist, and a wonderful addition to the Lithia Artisans Market on the weekends.
Once again the market is full of handcrafted items presented by the people who create them. 40 artisans will be showing on Calle Guanajuato this coming weekend, Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-5. Pottery, jewelry, carved stone beads, upcycled clothing, fine art of all kinds, wooden cutting boards, tie-die t-shirts, body care products, hats, and so much more. You owe it to yourself to come out and support the local, handmade art and craft scene. Magic awaits across from Lithia Park in the alleyway known as Calle Guanajuato. Art, craft, locally created music, and creekside dining. It is a great way to spend the day.
