The Lithia Artisans Market is full of talented artists and crafts-folk this Labor Day Weekend. 45 artisans are signed up to participate this upcoming weekend. The temperatures are cooling down and it looks like a fabulous time to come out and experience our local artisans market at its finest. When the market is full it is like a magnet, hard to resist the pull. Don’t resist, just come on down.

Saturdays 10-6 and Sundays 11-5

Labor Day is the celebration of workers. Work implies making something, building, cleaning, creating, doing labor. When you think about it, it is a celebration of makers. A big step in the evolution of labor is worker ownership. The guild of artists who make up the memberhship of the Lithia Artisans Market are all makers, creators who own their own small or micro-business. These folks work every weekend plying their wares at the local market. I can think of no better celebration of labor than the active support of artisan owned small businesses.

This Labor Day Weekend let us honor the workers of the past by supporting the makers of today. Join us at the artisans market along Ashland Creek on Calle Guanajuato where you will discover all kinds of hand fabricated jewelry, carved stones, shaped metals, woodwork, clothing, photography, fine art, sculpture, hats, body care products, blown glass, and so much more. Everything on display at the market is made by the people who are there selling. No middle man, just artisans and the things they create.
