Here is our ad as it will appear in the Oregon Shakespearean Festival Playbill, featuring Dave Summers of The Leather Vine.

The Lithia Artisans will be out in force this weekend. 31 vendors are signed up to show their wares and the weather looks promising. Super excited to really get this market up and rolling for the 2017 season. We are grateful for the rain, but ready for the sunshine. It sure makes outdoor markets a lot more pleasant when it isn’t threatening to snow.

Saturday 10-6 ~ Sunday 11-5

Located along the creek in downtown Ashland.

Featured in the above ad is veteran leather artist Dave Summers, a Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland (LAMA) member for over a decade. Dave makes handbags, backpacks, and hand-stitched shoes. I own a pair of his shoes and a backpack. This past winter I beat the heck out of my backpack using it to carry 75-100 pound loads of stone. The pack is a bit scratched up and dirty, but as solid as the day I made it mine. Handcrafted and made to last. And the shoes… the most comfortable I own.

This weekend you will find naturally died hemp clothing, wood work, wildlife and landscape photography, found-stone jewelry, folk art, body care products, quilts, pottery, leather-work, fine art, hats, fiber art, and much more. The little alleyway along Ashland Creek is a magical place to discover something new.

Speaking of something new, the management of Lithia Artisans Market would like to welcome the newest restaurant on Calle Guanajuato. Ex Nihilo is the new kid on the block. Welcome Kevin and Andi Broadie. We wish you well.

Super excited about the musical lineup you see below. Some of my favorite singer-songwriters in southern Oregon are playing all weekend long. Right on!

Gene Burnett plays original tunes at the Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland, Oregon.
