The days grow shorter, the nights longer. Mornings are chilly. A cup of coffee or tea in the hands takes away the sting of the air. Fall is cozy, colorful, and exciting in downtown Ashland. The outdoor, Elizabethan Theater has closed at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, but the play must go on. The Angus Bowmer is still open, so is the Thomas Theater. The Lithia Artisans Market is still open for three more weekends, then it is time to ready for the Christmas Season before heading into the lingering hibernation of Winter.
This weekend the market is once again full of unique arts and crafts. 28 Vendors are signed up to participate. We share the downtown with the Southern Oregon Gay Pride Parade this weekend. Colorful is the best description of the festivities planned in downtown Ashland for the upcoming weekend. I love the flamboyancy of the parade. It matches the colors of the leaves as Fall gives way to Winter.
Hope to see you all out and about this weekend supporting local art, craft, music, and culture. Let us revel in our differences, those aspects that make us shine. We are all unique, and we are all one… a beautiful mosaic.
