LAMA_Ad_OSF_Web betterWe are open for our fourth weekend of this young season. It is Ashland Independent Film Festival Weekend in downtown Ashland, Oregon. In between the films be sure to come by Calle Guanajuato along Ashland Creek to peruse the wares of the local artisans. Lithia Artisans Market represents some of the regions finest jewelers, potters, woodworkers, fine artists, silver-smiths, clothing designers and so much more. The market also hosts local musicians daily on our stage between the outdoor dining and the craft marketplace. This open-air marketplace, the oldest artisans market in the region, as been located in the quaint alleyway behind the Ashland plaza since 1983.

The new black and white ad you see in up above is our latest in our new series of ads. This is the ad that will be featured in the Oregon Shakespearean Festival Playbill. The photo is a pendant by our very own Karen West of Eggtooth Originals. Really beautiful piece Karen! Thanks for your contribution. Keep making beauty with your hands.

Looks as though we will be dodging raindrops on Saturday so come prepared for rain, but think sunny thoughts. Sunday looks beautiful and warm. 25 artisans and artists are signed up to participate this weekend. Let us celebrate the spring along Ashland Creek for the Ashland Independent Film Festival Weekend, April 11 and 12. What a great little town full of culture, film, live music, and art. We are blessed to live in such a magical little town.

The Brothers Reed take to the stage again this coming Sunday from 12 noon until 2pm. Aaron and his brother Phil make up the duo known as The Brothers Reed. This weekend they debut their new cd, “Sick as Folk”, at the Imperial Event center in Medford. The very next day they play for us at Lithia Artisans Market. So cool! I’ve been following Aaron and his musical career for about a decade. The first time I saw him sing was at an open mic at the old Siskiyou Brew Pub. From his first southern Oregon band “Monk”, to the creation of the hard driving country-punk band “Bucklerash”, to the emergence of The Brothers Reed, one thing has always been a steady for Aaron over his music career, great song writing backed by a powerful and soulful voice. My hat is off to Phil and Aaron Reed this weekend. By the way, I got a preview of the new cd and it is off the hook, exceptional! Really excellent work gentlemen. Looking forward to your set at the market this coming Sunday from noon until 2pm.
