The Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland (LAMA) opens its 2017 outdoor season on Calle Guanajuato this upcoming weekend, March 18 and 19. The weather forecast for the weekend is questionable, so let’s call this a “soft opening”.
OPEN SAT 10-6 AND SUN 11-5
Just a handful of us have signed up for the first market of the year. It is understandable. We are small but we are mighty! The weather is grey, and opening day is threatening rain. Think sunny thoughts. With that said, if you don’t see a post on our facebook page, then the market is open for business. I make sure to let people know before 9:00am if the market is closed due to weather. Sundays forecast is much more promising than Saturday.
This weekend you will find woodwork made from locally gathered manzanita and various burls, stone beads sculpted from local stones, photography that captures wildlife in its most intimate moments, quilts, mixed metal and stone jewelry, handmade leather shoes and bags, folk art, soap, skin care products, and much more.
We have a great lineup of music this weekend featuring singer-songwriters from Ashland, Oregon. Refer to the music schedule below.
Join us every weekend from now until the end of October as we come together to celebrate art, live music, and handcrafted wares that are made right here in the Rogue Valley.
