Another full house at the market this weekend. We continue to steadily grow this season. 39 local artisans will be showing over the course of the weekend, our biggest market of the season!
SAT 10-6 and SUN 11-5
Meandering along Ashland Creek you will discover unique creations made locally by the folks selling at our marketplace — woodwork, leather-work, sculpture, fine art, jewelry, photography, clothing, hats, and so much more. We have guest musicians coming through on Saturday afternoon (see schedule below) and the weather is lovely. It is a great weekend to come out to the market and enjoy the ambience along Calle Guanajuato.
The photo above features Erin Linton, fine artist. Erin has a special relationship with the wild world. As a volunteer she nurses injured wild creatures back to health then returns them to the wild. This is an ongoing venture for Erin and one she is feels called upon to pursue. As an artist she is gifted with the ability to truly capture the essence of her subjects, the individual character of each bird, each critter. She is also a recycling advocate and does so in her art creating unique textures and lines. She recycles used tea bags, dries them, and uses them as her canvas. This creates a completely unique starting point and the art evolves from there. Be sure to come by and see her new pieces this year. She is usually working on something new while showing at the market. Live art!
