Our community of artisans continues to grow. Thirty artisans are signed up for the weekend of July 20 and 21. As well, three brand new artists will be showing on Calle Guanajuato this coming weekend. We are welcoming a new wildlife photographer, Craig, a new facepainter, Alima, and a new fine artist, Haruko. Please come by and see the new faces at the artisans market and make them feel at home. Love to see our family growing.
Last weekend we had an interesting visitor come by our little art show along the creek. A young crow decided to hang out with us and he created quite the stir. Some of our members loved hanging out with the black bird as he seemed right at home, even cuddly as you can see from the photograph in this post. Others of our membership found him annoying as he flew on to umbrellas, pecked at our feet, and raised quite the ruckus at the market. I heard rumors that his arrival and attitude was an omen of some sort. Some said the crow represented community, but was considered a trickster. Others saw his presence as a sign of something more ominous. Personally, I found it kind of fun to hang out with him for awhile, but had to usher him off the Calle after the novelty dissipated and he wore out his welcome by becoming aggressive. You never know what you will encounter at Lithia Artisans Market.
Come on down and visit us along the creek. You won’t be disappointed and you might have a crow land on your shoulder.
