Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland is a great place to spend Mothers Day Weekend. Great gifts, a wonderful stroll along the creek, outdoor dining, live music, and 30 local artisans showing their wares along Calle Guanajuato. Fine art, clothing, hats, woodwork, pottery, body care products, and jewelry of all kinds will be on display Saturday from 10-6, and Sunday from 11-5. The weather looks perfect and the market is already in full swing early in the 2015 season.
As the market manager, I get excited when new artisans are juried into the market or when veteran artisans are trying new ideas. This year has already been very interesting as new artisans continue to impress the jury committee. Pictured above is our newest potter, Lisa Eldredge. Lisa was the very first newbie to present her creations to the jury committee. She was so happy to join the market that she wasted no time in getting her booth together. She showed opening day back in mid March and has been with us every weekend since. Her determination to succeed is inspiring. I have witnessed a rapid evolution of her presentation and her booth looks great! Her pots are earthy, functional, colorful and fun. Join us in welcoming her to our family of artisans, and pick up an awesome coffee mug while you are at it.
