Happy Mothers Day from the folks at Lithia Artisans Market. We have 38 artists showing this weekend on Calle Guanajuato. It’s a perfect time to shop for that one of a kind item that is sure to bring forth smiles on this special day. A wonderful array of handcrafted items will be on display – jewelry, woodwork, hemp clothing, fine art of all kinds, hats, photography, body care products, lamp-worked glass, carved stones, and so much more. Everything you see at the market is handmade by the people who are exhibiting. All original, all the time.
Saturdays 10-6 and Sundays 11-5. Located behind the plaza in downtown Ashland.
Some of our veteran members are showing for their first time of the season. We are excited to welcome back Jan Rice with her colorfully hand painted signs, Stephanie Gould with her jewelry and body care products, Steve McLaren with his hand-forged copper items, and the Hat People from Talent, Oregon.
Jim and Carol Young have been making hats for well over thirty years. They were at the very first Oregon Country Fair outside of Eugene, Oregon. They used to make these hats without electricity, living off the grid in an old mining cabin up in the mountains of the southern Oregon coastal range on Silver Creek. There, in that simple, remote home, they started a family and a cottage industry.
We welcome you all back to your home along Ashland Creek.
We have a great lineup of music for the weekend, and a surprise guest (or guests) planned for Sunday, May 8th.
