Another full house at the Lithia Artisans Market this coming weekend. 33 artisans will be attending and the fall weather is looking stellar. Temperatures in the mid 70’s, crisp in the morning, warm in the afternoon. Perfect! This week the market will feature upcycled clothing by Jasmine Patten, hats from the Hat People of Talent, cutting boards made by Bruce Kramer, hand forged copper by Lavelle Foos, an abundance of jewelry, photography, clothing, painted silk, quilts, fine art, and more. The market is in the midst of a great fall season. This is the time of year I start to go inward to the source of my own creativity. I sleep just a little more, dream just a little more, and conjure up innovative new ways to interact with the world around me as an artisan. So grateful for this market, and the supportive community here in Ashland. Thank you.

Bead weaving by Stephanie Gould, this weeks featured artisan.

This weeks featured artisan is Stephanie Gould. Stephanie’s booth is unique in the fact that she is running two businesses in one booth. She is passionate about both alternative body care and beads. She has been making chemical free skin care products for 18 years. Her products are great! She loves to work with beads, particularly the tiny ones, seed beads. She is what some call a bead weaver. She weaves the beads to frame stones… using beads to do what is typically done with silver or other metals. Her eye for color combinations is excellent and that shows in her work. She calls her jewelry business “Dragonfly Creations”, and her line of body care products “Good Earth Company”. This week everything in her booth is 10% OFF in honor of the fact that she is the artisan of the week.
