Jack West is a Fine Wood Furniture Maker and a member of the Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland, Oregon.
The market is 40 artisans strong for our second to last weekend of the 2015 outdoor season. I have never seen such great participation from our guild of artists. I am super honored to manage this great group of creative souls. The weather forecast is for temperatures in the mid 70’s for this upcoming weekend. Fall is upon us, winter just around the corner. Enjoy the sunshine while we have it. This weekend we feature fine silver-smithed jewelry, woodwork of all kinds, up-cycled clothing, original screen printed t-shirts, metal work, fine art, hand carved stone beads, photography, and much more.
The photo above is an image of Jack West and his furniture pieces. Jack and his wife Karen make a powerful artisan team. They travel the west coast doing art shows throughout the season. Jack is a furniture maker, Karen is a jewelry designer. Jack is usually so busy with art shows that we rarely see him on Calle Guanajuato. We are excited to have him back at the market after a long hiatus. His workmanship is impeccable. His wood pieces show the years of experience it takes to fine tune this sort of work. He apprenticed for years with a master woodworker and those years of study and hard work show in his detailed woodwork. Take advantage of these last days of sunshine and come out to see Jacks work, as well as the art and craft of over 40 other creators at this weekends artisan market along Ashland Creek.
The Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland (LAMA) is located along Calle Guanajuato, behind the plaza in downtown Ashland, Oregon. The market is open to the public and free of charge.
