The Lithia Artisans Market is 37 artists strong going into what might be the last 80 degree weekend of the season. Fall is a great time to come out and visit your local artisans market. The colors are turning in Lithia Park; green changes to red, amber, orange. My favorite time of the year down at the artisans market.

Boutique Body Art can be found at the artisans market most weekends throughout the season. We are happy these talented folks have joined our family of artists this season. This weekend they will be set up in the parking lot in the lower park, just across the bridge from the top of the artisans market. While you are out celebrating Gay Pride, come by and turn your skin into a temporary art piece.

Southern Oregon Gay Pride Parade is this weekend in downtown Ashland. We at the market love to watch this colorful parade as it makes it way up Winburn Way into the park, passing the market on the way to the band-shell for more festivities. As artisans we also walk a slightly different walk and we honor diversity, cultural inclusiveness, and an open society. The mission statement of Southern Oregon Pride sums it up this way…

This weekend you will find all kinds of hand crafted goodness at the market… up-cycled fall clothing from Dervish Clothing, tencel fiber fashion wear from Sympatico Clothing, hand died hemp designs from Juniperous, and many other fall themed clothing lines. Jewelry is well represented with mixed metals, hand carved stone beads, lamp-worked glass, fine silver wire work, and pounded copper forged in the ancient Navajo tradition. You will also find leather-work, woodwork, fine art, photography, hand crafted body care products, and much more.
Come out and watch the parade and then visit the artisans on Calle Guanajuato, along Ashland Creek in lower Lithia Park.
