The official opening of the 2019 Lithia Artisans Market season is this upcoming weekend, March 16 and 17.

Over 28 artists and fine craftspeople will be plying their wares along Ashland Creek on Calle Guanajuato. The weather looks promising with forecasts showing temperatures in the mid to upper sixties.

OPEN SATURDAYS 10-6 AND SUNDAYS 11-5

The market is located in downtown Ashland along the creek on Calle Guanajuato, across the street from lower Lithia Park.

I had the privilege of visiting a few local artisan workshops during the winter months. In the coming weeks I will share with you some of the images and videos from those studio visits. Stay tuned!

Here is a short list of the kinds of handcrafted items you will discover at the market this weekend: forged metal jewelry, original paintings, photography, lamp-worked glass, carved stone beads, women’s clothing, felted wool shawls, screen printed t-shirts, kids clothes, woodwork, leather-work, and much more.

Everyone I talk with is eager to get this new season up and rolling. It is such a blessing to have this local artisans market as a meeting place for all of us to come together and share what we do. Join us in support of local art, craft, and music.
