The outdoor Elizabethan Theater is now open. Ashland is packed with art patrons. I could hardly drive through town yesterday… so many people. The weather is perfect and the market is thriving with more new artists and artisans than ever before. What a great weekend to hang out along Ashland Creek, listen to fine local music, and see what the local artisan community has to offer. Over 30 artisans are signed up to participate this coming weekend. Jewelry, clothing, photography, fine art, hats, woodwork, copper work, hand-painted signs, and much more.
New leather artisan Romero Biondolillo will be showing this weekend at Lithia Artisans Market in Ashland, Oregon.

As I worked my fingers to the bone creating hand cut stone beads and pendants all week, the word that kept coming up for me was “authenticity”. What the artisan community offers the world is authenticity. The artisan is touched by the world around them and they bring forth a unique beauty in their creations that reflects the space they call home. Nothing is more genuinely Southern Oregon than the items available to purchase along Ashland Creek at the Lithia Artisans Market. This area is so full of talent. We are blessed! Don’t take it for granted. Support local, it matters!
Once again the music is outstanding. Kites and Crows plays Saturday morning, and we are welcoming a new comer on Sunday afternoon. Phil Reed, brother of local favorite Aaron Reed, has moved to the area and will offer his outstanding songwriting skills to a captive audience Sunday, June 16 from 3:00-5:00. Phil played last year for about half a set and it was a real treat. Looking forward to an amazing weekend of art, craft, and music on Calle Guanajuato.
