August is past, September is upon us, but the weather is staying plenty hot. We have roughly 30 artisans showing this coming weekend. Carved wood and stone, hand wrought sterling rings and pendants, hats from the Hat People, contemporary clothing made of hemp, glass, woven fabrics, and much more. Calle Guanajuato will be the place to be this weekend with fine local creations, and great music throughout the two days. This weeks featured artisan is a veteran of his craft and the art show circuit, silver smith and lapidary artist Dan Clark.

Dan Clark is from Chicago. He has been creating jewelry for over 40 years. Dan joined the Lithia Artisans Market back in the mid 1990’s and then decided that he would move out here and leave the big city for a simpler existence. He is as sincere a fella as you will ever meet. He’s a big hearted, hard working, salt of the Earth guy who will drop what he is doing to help out a friend. Trust me, I have had to call on Dan at a moments notice and he never hesitates to lend a hand. His work is impeccable, and he is a collector of rare Oregon agates, jaspers, and more. As Dan is prone to saying, “I just do the work, build the equity, and the work speaks for itself”. He is constantly working on something new while at the market. He keeps his hands busy, and his mind clear. Stop by and chat with Dan this weekend, and pick out your favorite sterling and stone pendant as everything in his booth is 10% OFF this weekend only!
