Siskiyou Challenge meets Lithia Artisans Market

Again this coming weekend the Lithia Artisans Market will share the lower Lithia Park area with a race. The Siskiyou Challenge will start their race at 7:45am with a Police escort. This event is a fundraiser for the Rogue Valley Farm to School program. For the members of the market this means that the area at the top of Calle Guanajuato will be  closed for a half hour from 7:30-8:00am. Please keep this in mind and come earlier if that is the time slot you like to unload; or, come after 8:00am on Saturday, September 22. The parking lot where the Derex Ice Rink is in the winter, across from the playground, will be open for our use but will close at 8:30am. If you wish to park there you need to get your car parked between 8-8:30am. Otherwise, you will have to go back out the plaza after load-in because the upper park area will be closed to through traffic.

We have another full market this weekend with 34 artisans participating. As fall approaches we are continuing to have a strong showing of artisans along
Ashland Creek. Nature photography, up-cycled clothing, lots of amazing jewelry, handmade soaps, massage, and much more await the patron of
Ashland’s original outdoor marketplace.
The music schedule will once again offer a diverse pallet of styles and presence. On Sunday afternoon, as a continuation of our September concert series, we offer, from Tacoma, Washington the band “Mighty High”. “Tacoma’s Mighty High seems to have chosen a more than appropriate moniker. Hashing out reggae rooted, Technicolor jams minced with blues ethos — like the child of Peter Tosh and Humble Pie …” -Matt Driscoll
Not sure exactly how this six piece band will fit on our tiny market stage, but where there is a will there is a way. Totally psyched to check out this jam band from Tacoma.
