Jen Ambrose plays all original tunes Saturday, June 2 from 3-5 at Lithia Artisans Market, along the creek in Ashland, Oregon.

The music lineup this coming weekend, June 2 and 3, is exceptional at Lithia Artisans Market in Ashland, Oregon. Not only has our market grown, with nearly 20 new artists and artisans, we have added over 25 new music acts as we strive for greater creativity and authenticity. All of our musicians are playing original songs or pieces that are already in public domain. This means you will hear nothing but fresh, handmade music at the Lithia Artisans Market. The music has been incredible so far this season, and we are only just beginning. This weekends lineup is no exception as we welcome new friends and old into our family of artists and musicians.

New Lithia Artisans member Natalie Stawsky with her fun, colorful creations.

Last weekend we welcomed three brand new artists into the market. Natalie Stawsky, Brandon Herring, and Ylara Khalsa showed for their very first time at Lithia Artisans Market.
Natalie Stawsky makes fun and colorful hair and clothing accessories that are sure to brighten up the mood of any outfit. Her items are very well made and super accessible. She made them originally as accessories for Tango dancing, but their appeal is far broader than just the dance community. She is very gifted and creative.

Another fine photographer on Calle Guanajuato. Brandon Herring prints images on metal. Way cool. Weekends along the creek at Lithia Artisans Market in Ashland, Oregon.

Brandon Herring is our newest photographer. His pieces are stunning. He is doing something really unique in the printing process, printing onto metal. This technique creates quite the dramatic image. Stop by and check it out.
Ylara Khalsa works with essential oils and aromatherapy to make blends that are very pleasant to the senses. I tried out her face creams when she brought them to the jury meeting. I was so impressed I might need to start using these creams. Ylara is very knowledgeable about her products and very close to the source in their creation. She lives on the lower hills of Mt. Shasta. Ask to try her rose water. Awesome.
The music this coming weekend is off the hook. Saturday morning we’ll experience the wonderful songwriting of Bronwyne Brent from Austin, Texas. Bronwynne Brent is a contemporary folk singer-songwriter born and raised in the Mississippi delta. She is currently touring the west coast in support of her first cd release, Deep Black Water. Alternative country-Americana with an Indie touch. Her songs are captivating and straight from the heart. She has been compared to Jesse Sykes, and Jill Sobule. If you can’t tell, I am really looking forward to her set. Bronwynne will have cd’s for sale.

Adey played for us about a month ago and showed why cover tunes are not where passion lies. Original, handcrafted music comes straight from the heart, and the vibe is so much higher. Thanks Adey, hope to have you back soon.

In the afternoon we welcome back to our stage Jen Ambrose & The Crooked Road Travelers –  joined by Willie Warwick on Violin, Jef Ramsy on Mandolin, and Richard Cole on bass. Jen played a few weeks ago on a sparse Sunday and filled the place with fans. Jen is a local favorite and a powerful singer. Her presence is strong, and her message is clear. Magical.
Sunday we start of with the flamenco sounds of Gitano del Norte. Gary is a phenomenal guitarist, not to be missed.
Finally, on Sunday afternoon we welcome local Ashland indie trio Kites and Crows. Check out the you-tube video below. Lead by the vocals of Mysha Caruso, Kites and Crows have toured extensively throughout the country. This trio is full of promise and always a crowd pleaser.
