We are 44 artisans strong  this upcoming weekend, August 6 and 7 at the Lithia Artisans Market. This is our fullest market since the first weekend of July. Lots of seasoned artisans have been out on the road, we welcome them back. This weekend you will discover all sorts of locally crafted art along Ashland Creek on Calle Guanjuato. Finely finished woodwork, henna body art, copper sculpture, jewelry of all kinds, hand-cut stones, metal smithing, and more. Mobiles made of drift wood and agate, dream-catchers that conjure up native lore and wisdom. Clothing will also be displayed including hemp and tencel fibers, sun dresses, tie-die and silk screened t-shirts, spun wool, hand painted silk, and much, much more. A really great weekend to come down and say hello.

The photo above features Jan Rice. Jan is a sign painter with unique talents. She makes colorful signs and magnets with inspirational words and quotes. Everything in her booth is meticulously created one letter at a time. She has been a member of our market for well over a decade, making her a veteran of the market. Her booth is often found up in the area near Mix Sweet-Shop on the corner of Calle Guanajuato and North Main Street. She is a wonderful person, a gifted artisan, and we at the market are very happy she is part of our family. Join us this weekend and support locally crafted goodness made right here in our community.
