Sunny Lindley, Sundial Arts, Lithia Artisans Market Ashland, Oregon

Sunny Lindley of Sundial Arts. She shows often at the Lithia Artisans Market Ashland, Oregon (LAMA).

We are 40 artisans strong for this upcoming weekend. Folks who were up at Oregon Country Fair last weekend have made their way home.  A wonderful array of handcrafted items will be on display along Calle Guanajuato, the alleyway behind the plaza in downtown Ashland. This weekend you will find hand carved stone beads by Marcus Scott, lamp worked glass beads by Leah Fairbanks, wound sterling silver earrings by Ahlaya Pace and Karina Mendoza-Wittke, copper pendants by Lavelle Foos, and so much more (and that is merely the Jewelry part of the market). You will also find clothing and accessories, fine art of all kinds, body care products, mobiles, dream-catchers, hula-hoops, wooden cutting boards and boxes, silk screened tee shirts, folk art and more. If you haven’t been down by the creek in awhile, it is a great weekend to come visit.

Featured in the photo above is Sunny Lindley of Sundial Arts. Sunny is a renaissance woman with all sorts of talents in the artisan realm. She is a clothing designer and silk screen printer. Her t-shirts and hoodies featuring mushroom images are awesome. I own one, I use it often, and I love it! Sunny is devoted to the model of sustainability, individual responsibility for self, the planet, and our chosen occupations. She is a staunch advocate for local artisans, and makes every effort to live lightly on the earth while advancing her own home based business. As well as a great clothing designer, Sunny is also an urban farmer. She is connected to the earth directly through the soil. Her backyard micro farm is a sight to behold. We are honored that she is a part of our local artisans family, the Lithia Artisans Market of Ashland.

To sum it up in Sunny’s own words. “Artisan small business owners are a rare breed of soulful characters favoring creativity over compliance, uniqueness over fitting in, and tedious handwork over mass production.

It is going to be a beautiful weekend. Come on out and say, “howdy”.
