Dan Clark is back with his silver and stone pieces this coming weekend.

We went from rainy and cold two weeks ago to hot as blazes this coming weekend. No matter, we are still over 30 strong in vendor turnout at the Lithia Artisans Market. It is always about 5 degrees cooler down by Ashland Creek along Calle Guanajuato. The umbrellas will be out in force to keep the temperature reasonable in the colorful booths arrayed along the winding walkway. Come out and support local handcrafted wares. This week you will find wooden cutting boards, hats, tencel and hemp clothing, body care products, puppets, jewelry of all kinds, fine art, photography, hand painted signs, leather work and so much more.

We are super excited to announce that our 2016 Souvenir Booklet is now available for all market patrons. These booklets have been in production phase the last few months. They just came off the presses today. They feature all of the members of the market. A local artisan directory of sorts.  Please come by and pick one up. They are beautiful, and collectible, and free. They are available at the Market Information Table next to my booth in the very middle of the market.  I’m the market manager, Marcus, and also a stone bead artisan. You can find me at The Stone Bead booth. They are also available at most any artisan booth if you ask for one.

This weekend we welcome back to the market Dan Clark of Pine Tree Jewelry (featured working in the photo above). Dan is veteran artisan and full of stories. His silver pendant pieces are impeccably crafted. I never see a seam in his soldering joints.  All his pieces are unique and portray Oregon jaspers at their finest. Owyhee, Biggs, Deschutes jaspers and much more are on display in Dan’s cases. Classic rockhounding locations where the good finds are now few and far between. Many of these stones are becoming rare. Dan has them, and he has some of the best of them. Come by and say “howdy” to my good friend and fellow artisan Dan Clark.
