34 artisans are signed up to show this weekend at Ashland’s outdoor artisan marketplace, the Lithia Artisans Market. Handcrafted wares made by the folks exhibiting along Ashland Creek. This weekend you will find hand-sewn clothing, hand-wrought sterling silver jewelry, hand-sculpted stones, handmade soap, mobiles, woodwork, fine art, photography, quilts, and so much more. Strolling this meandering walkway called Calle Guanajuato is a magical way to spend part of your day over the course of the weekend.
Open Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-5.
The weather forecast is iffy for Saturday, improving on Sunday. I need all my artisan friends to think sunny thoughts. We love the rain, just wait until the evening when the market is not in full swing. Thanks mother nature!
The artisan featured above is Bev Reed. Bev is a jewelry designer who plays wonderfully with color, texture, and shape. Her earrings are elegant, simple, and fun. She has been a member of the market for well over a decade. Her service to the market has been invaluable as she was an active member of the Lithia Artisans Jury Committee for many years. She retired her post just last year. Thank you for your service to this community. We appreciate you!
It is sidewalk sale weekend in downtown Ashland, lots and lots of people are out shopping. We hope to see a bunch of you shoppers wander through the artisans market. The market is full of treasures just waiting for you to discover.
